Criminal defendants are entitled to representation by an attorney, but victims of crime are provided no such guarantee for legal issues they often face as a result of their victimization. Victims of crime often need to access to the civil legal system for a protection order, for protection from an eviction, or to modify a prior civil court order affecting care and custody of their children. Alpine Legal Services provides free civil legal services to crime victims from Aspen to Parachute.
As our aging population grows, so must our awareness of and assistance with the special legal needs facing older adults. Basic estate planning, protection from unlawful debt collectors, and representation in eviction matters are some of the ways Alpine Legal Services protects the legal interests of low-income seniors from Aspen to Parachute.
